Junior at STEAM Receives Leadership Award

Grace Wilson, a junior at the STEAM Academy, is the Leadership Lexington Youth Program’s  Outstanding Student Leader for the 2025-26 school year. She was recognized during the spring graduation in mid-April. LLYP is facilitated by Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass.

This honor, chosen by peers, reflects the respect and admiration of fellow students and salutes a leader who exemplifies integrity, strong character, and a positive influence. Known for her initiative and servant’s heart, Grace exemplifies what it means to make a meaningful impact both in and out of the classroom.

At school, Grace is actively involved in a wide range of organizations, including the National Honor Society, Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP), and Student Council. She is also a dedicated student-athlete, competing on the Red House Runners cross-country team and Bryan Station High’s track and field team.

One of Grace’s most notable accomplishments is the creation of a library for STEAM Academy – an initiative born of her passion for literacy and access to resources. This effort was part of her larger “What Are You Reading?” project, which earned runner-up honors at the 2025 STLP state competition. Her work not only filled a critical need at her school but also inspired a culture of reading among her classmates.

With a deep commitment to serving others and meeting needs in meaningful ways, Grace is already making a lasting difference in her community.
