Flores helped open STEAM Academy in 2013. Prior to entering administration, he taught Spanish at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary Spanish education from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree in education from Georgetown College, a master’s degree in educational administration from Eastern Kentucky University, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership and organizational development from the University of Louisville.
